Day 26 - A photo of my favourite weekend
I originally had a different photo posted for this day, but after thinking about it I had to change it. This photo was taken on a weekend I will never forget. Four of us, Michael, Dominik, me and Joanna (not shown), had tickets to the Big Valley Jamboree in Camrose, Alberta. We camped at a campground in a tiny town called Ferintosh, just south of Camrose. We went swimming and exploring and just enjoyed each others' company. We never got to go to the concert because a huge storm came through with winds that knocked down the stage. During the storm we were in our car waiting it out, while branches blew down around us. The fact that we missed out on the concert did not matter though, because we had more fun sitting in the car playing cards anyway. The people of Ferintosh were incredibly nice and even offered us beds to sleep in, which we turned down but were very grateful for the offer. The rest of the weekend was just as fun. We had a campfire and traveled to Edmonton to the West Edmonton Mall World Waterpark. I also remember the last night we were there, laying in the grass and doing cartwheels by the lake. It was so dark we couldn't see a thing, and the rain was coming. It's one of the last memories I have of a completely carefree time, before moving and baby and extra responsibilities.
